Illustrator Needed to Design 3 Company Mascot Concepts for Internal Employee Vote
We are engaging a freelance illustrator or character designer to develop three (3) unique mascot concepts that reflect our company's brand identity and values. These designs will be shared internally with employees, who will vote on their preferred direction. Objectives - Create visually compelling and distinct mascot options that represent the company’s voice and culture - Deliver polished, presentation-ready artwork that supports employee engagement and feedback Scope of Work 1. Creative Kickoff - Introductory call to align on goals, tone, creative direction, and brand guidelines - We will provide reference materials and visual context 2. Concept Development - Design and deliver three (3) unique mascot concepts - Each concept to include: Full-color illustration A short rationale or description Optional: alternate expression or pose to support storytelling 3. Presentation Assets - Create a side-by-side layout or comparison visuals for internal voting - Deliver in high-resolution PNG and/or PDF formats 4. Ongoing Check-ins - Share work-in-progress at key milestones (e.g., sketch phase, pre-final render) - Additional ad hoc check-ins may be scheduled to ensure alignment and provide directional feedback Timeline - Kickoff: ASAP - Initial concept sketches: 3 days after kickoff - Final presentation-ready concepts: 5 days after kickoff Note: Revisions or refinement of the final selected mascot after the vote will be scoped separately. If you’ve done mascot or character design work in the past, please include examples or links to your portfolio when applying. We’re looking for a collaborator who is comfortable taking creative initiative while staying aligned with brand goals.
