Description: We are a medical device company seeking a U.S.-licensed product liability attorney to assist us with an urgent matter. A client has reported that our device may have caused injury to someone during use. We need legal guidance on how to respond appropriately, assess our risk exposure, and handle the situation in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, we want to proactively develop a standard operating procedure (SOP) for handling future product liability claims to ensure consistent, legally sound responses. Scope of Work: Review the current client incident and provide legal advice on next steps Assess liability and help craft a legally appropriate response to the client Identify potential reporting obligations (e.g., FDA, insurers) Draft or assist in drafting a formal SOP for internal use in future incidents Advise on any needed disclaimers, insurance, or compliance updates Requirements: U.S.-licensed attorney with experience in product liability (preferably in medical devices or consumer health tech) Proven experience advising companies on injury claims and risk management Strong communication skills and ability to translate legal insights into practical SOPs Familiarity with FDA and other regulatory frameworks a plus To Apply: Please share relevant experience, sample work (if available), and your hourly rate or project estimate.
