About the Role: - We are seeking a skilled and reliable Legal Blog Writer to create high-quality, well-researched blog content focused on Texas property tax law. - The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of legal writing, the ability to break down complex topics for a general audience, and a keen interest in helping Texas property owners stay informed on appraisal protests, unequal appraisal issues, and valuation disputes. Key Responsibilities: - Write 2–4 blog posts per month (600–1,200 words each) on topics related to Texas property tax law, including: - Appraisal protest process - Unequal and excessive appraisal claims - Business personal property valuation - Property tax deadlines and legislative updates - Translate legal concepts into accessible, engaging content for business owners, property managers, and commercial real estate stakeholders. - Conduct keyword research and apply basic SEO best practices (guidance will be provided). - Collaborate with Firm Owner, Partners, and Marketing Coordinators to align content with editorial strategy and current campaigns. - Meet deadlines and incorporate feedback professionally. Ideal Candidate Will Have: - Proven experience writing legal, financial, or technical content for the web. - Strong understanding of legal terminology and a commitment to accuracy. - Familiarity with Texas tax law or willingness to research in-depth. - Excellent grammar, clarity, and storytelling ability. - Experience writing with SEO in mind (preferred, not required). - Ability to take direction, work independently, and maintain consistent quality. Preferred Qualifications: - Legal writing, journalism, or communications background. - Experience writing for attorneys, law firms, or the real estate sector. - Knowledge of Texas statutes or county appraisal district processes.
