We are seeking an experienced Event Sponsorship, Business Development or Lead Generation Specialist to join our team. This freelancer will have a role in securing corporate sponsorships, grants, partnerships for our high-profile events. Our mission is to serve Black young professionals in the Greater Boston area through social events and multicultural networking experiences.. This role may involve reviewing and editing current marketing and promotional assets, cold emails or calls, setting up and leading meetings with potential sponsors, delivering compelling pitches, and ensuring sponsorship deliverables are met. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sponsorship/sales acquisition for events, fundraisers, concerts, nightlife or related events. Preferred background includes excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients. Key Responsibilities: - Research and identify corporate sponsorship opportunities aligned with our events. - Review and edit marketing and promotional materials to ensure alignment with sponsor expectations and brand positioning. - Develop customized sponsorship packages to meet corporate clients’ goals and objectives. - Pitch sponsorship proposals to decision-makers at prospective companies and organizations. - Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential sponsors to ensure long-term partnerships. - Act as the liaison between sponsors and internal event teams, ensuring all sponsorship deliverables are met in a timely manner. COMPENSATION: This is a commission-based opportunity, offering a fixed retainer of $250/month plus 15% of the sponsorship funds generated. Our sponsorships range from $3,000 - $20,000.
