Structural Engineer Needed - Foundation & Framing Design for Residential Remodel (Quick Turnaround) Project Overview We require a licensed structural engineer to provide foundation and structural plans for a residential remodel/addition project. The design is relatively straightforward as we are removing all interior walls and completely replacing the roof structure. Scope of Work Design new roof framing system with connection details to existing structure Engineer foundation solutions to connect new foundation to existing pier and beam system Provide structural calculations and stamped drawings suitable for permit submission Design any necessary beams/headers for the open floor plan Create connection details between new and existing elements Project Details CAD files of architectural plans will be provided Soil tests are complete and available Existing structure is pier and beam foundation All interior walls will be removed Entire roof will be reframed Deliverables Complete set of engineered structural plans in PDF and CAD formats Structural calculations Foundation design with connection details Framing plans with sizing and spacing requirements Stamped/sealed documents (must be licensed in Texas) Timeline (1-2) week turnaround preferred One revision round included Qualifications Licensed structural engineer (PE) (State of Texas) with residential remodeling experience Experience with Texas building codes Experience with pier and beam foundations Must be able to provide examples of similar projects Ability to meet quick turnaround timeline Strong communication skills Budget range: $2k - $3k Please include in your proposal: Brief description of your relevant experience Timeline confirmation Sample of similar work (if available) Any questions about the project scope
