Operational Efficiency and Asset Evaluation Scope: Assess operational structure, staffing, vehicle fleet, and territory. Tasks: - Evaluate staffing: Confirm driver and manager headcount, payroll costs, and pay rates align with market standards. - Analyze the vehicle fleet: Verify the number, condition, mileage, and suitability of vehicles for routes. Ensure adequate spare vehicle capacity (e.g., 20% of fleet). - Assess territory efficiency: Review route mileage, terminal location, and daily route distribution to confirm operational feasibility and scalability. - Review operational metrics: Evaluate resource allocation, route scheduling, and delivery volume capacity. 3. Valuation and Purchase Price Justification Scope: Analyze the asking price and financial multiples. Tasks: - Assess the purchase price multiple against industry norms for FedEx P&D routes. - Evaluate the inclusion and condition of assets (e.g., vehicles) in the asking price. - Compare net income to the asking price to determine ROI and payback period. - Validate claims of profitability and operational efficiency with financial and operational data. 4.
