Video editor needed, 2 short intv. segments about data scientists
Seeking an experienced video editor to transform raw interview footage into short, news-style interview segments. The Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) seeks a video editor to oversee the creation of short, news-style interviews of two data scientists. The selected contractor will edit together existing high-definition interview footage, shot against a green screen, with b-roll of the scientists, stock or licensed footage, images, and animations to produce a short video segment profiling each data scientist. CEGA’s Director of Communications will manage the work stream, provide overarching intellectual direction for the project, and serve as the main point of contact, liaising between the contractor and other staff members. The Director of Communications will provide: * Access to the interview footage, b-roll, and supporting materials like images * Transcripts of each interview, with timecode, and a general edit script * Limited access to stock footage The hired editor will need to bring all video editing software and tools. They must possess expertise in common video editing software and tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in chroma keying and compositing to replace green screen backgrounds with custom footage or digital environments is necessary, as is experience with After Effects or other animation tools. Preference for candidates who can create light motion graphics or dynamic backgrounds. Services to be provided: * Cut together 2 separate segments, of approximately 2.5 minutes each, featuring interview footage of each data scientist. * Each segment should have a title card, subtitles, and an end card. * The interview footage will need to be chroma keyed to replace background. * The editor may need to create custom animations for the background. * At least two rounds of revisions for each video. * Finished segments must include some amount of b-roll and other visual assets, in addition to the interview footage itself. Deliverables: * 2 separate videos at 4k quality, color graded and with audio leveling / clean-up * Each segment should have a title card and an end card. * Please include a separate subtitle file (e.g., .srt) * Transcript of final cut of each video. * All production files, packaged and compressed.
