Context: This company is an SaaS upcoming startup that provides an all-in-one software solution for small to medium-sized local service businesses across different industries. We are seeking a creative and talented graphic designer specializing in logo design and brand mascots to create our company’s visual identity. As we currently have no established logo, but have a clear idea. We seek someone who can conceptualize and deliver a distinctive logo incorporating an illustrated brand mascot. The mascot (German Shepherd puppy) should be memorable, engaging, and adaptable, able to stand alone separately from the text for flexible use across digital and physical media (e.g., websites, apps, merchandise, social media, stickers, and promotional items). ### Responsibilities **Logo and Mascot Conceptualization** * Collaborate closely with our team to deeply understand our brand’s mission, core values, target audience, and aesthetic direction. * Develop several logo concepts and mascot illustrations. **Iterative Design Process** * Collect and integrate detailed feedback to refine the chosen logo concept and mascot illustration. * Provide 2–3 rounds of major revisions to perfect the mascot and typography, ensuring brand consistency and visual appeal. **Final Deliverables** * Provide final designs in versatile file formats (SVG, PNG, JPG). * Supply multiple variations including: * Full-color, monochrome, and transparent background. * Mascot illustration isolated from text. * Horizontal and vertical logo lockups. * Powered by ProHelper grahpic * A basic brand style guide documenting color codes (CMYK, RGB, Hex) and typography choices, if agreed upon. **Collaboration & Communication** * Maintain clear, prompt communication about project status and milestones. * Adhere strictly to deadlines, providing timely progress updates and deliverables. * Be open to collaboration, responsive to feedback, and available for brainstorming sessions. ### Requirements **Experience & Portfolio** * Proven experience designing logos featuring illustrated brand mascots. * A strong portfolio demonstrating original mascot designs and logo integration across diverse applications (digital products, print materials, merchandise). * Expert proficiency with vector-based design software (Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, etc.). **Technical & Creative Skills** * Excellent illustration skills and ability to conceptualize engaging mascots suitable for brand identity. * Deep understanding of logo design principles, typography pairing, and color theory. * Ability to create professional, print-ready and digital-ready files. **Communication Skills** * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to clearly articulate the rationale behind design choices to ensure alignment with our brand vision. **Professionalism & Reliability** * Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines and meet deadlines. * Collaborative, positive attitude with openness to iterative feedback. ### Additional Details * **Project Timeline:** Ideally, finalized logo and mascot designs should be completed within a few weeks from the project start date. * **Work Arrangement:** Fully remote/freelance with potential opportunities for ongoing design projects (such as future marketing materials, apparel graphics, and product designs). * **Ownership:** Upon completion, our company will fully own all final artwork and source files. The designer must be willing to sign an NDA if required. Future design tasks or edits will be first offered to the designer at a mutually agreed-upon hourly rate.
