Job Description:
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented MEP engineer or experienced drafter to support ongoing residential and light commercial interior build-outs across Texas. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who can consistently deliver clean, code-compliant MEP drawings based on finalized layouts and renders. Most spaces are repeatable layouts (1,500–3,000 sq ft) with small variations. You’ll be working from a completed general blueprint, CAD file, and optional 3D render—so no design work is needed. Our team provides all fixture specs and SKUs through Fohlio. Your role is to add the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing layers and help prepare stamp-ready sets. We’re open to two types of candidates: * A Texas-licensed PE who can produce and stamp the MEP set. * A qualified drafter who can produce MEP drawings to a professional standard, ready for review by a local PE. What You’ll Be Provided: * CAD file of the layout * 3D renderings (as needed) * Fixture SKUs/specs (via Fohlio or PDF export) * Site photos and walkthrough videos when available You’ll be expected to flag any missing info and coordinate with our team for quick answers. We’re building a streamlined system and value clear, efficient communication. Ideal Candidate Has: * Strong experience drafting full MEP plans (M, E, and P) * Familiarity with Texas code and permitting expectations (especially in Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio) * Ability to add MEP layers to our CAD layouts and deliver organized sheets * Professional formatting and use of standard legends, tags, and notes * Strong communication, fast turnaround, and ability to work independently * Open to long-term partnership and package pricing for recurring work Bonus (Preferred, Not Required): * Licensed PE in Texas with stamping authority (include license number) * Permitting or expediting experience in major Texas cities * Ability to collaborate with our team to streamline a scalable workflow To Apply, Please Include: * Whether you are licensed to stamp in Texas (include your license number if so) * One or more samples of recent MEP drawings (with sensitive info redacted if needed) * Typical turnaround time * General pricing for a 1,500–3,000 sq ft project * Your preferred workflow or software * What you would need from us to get started quickly We are looking to build a long-term partnership with the right person.
