Project Description: We’re seeking a Product Engineer with expertise in mechanical design and ergonomic improvement to help refine the functionality of a rotary knob. The goal is to make the knob easier and softer to turn without compromising durability. Key Responsibilities: Analyze the current knob mechanism and identify friction/stiffness issues. Propose and prototype design modifications (e.g., material changes, torque adjustments, bearing integration). Collaborate with our team to test and iterate on solutions. Requirements: Proven experience in product design/engineering, specifically with rotary mechanisms. Background in mechanical prototyping (3D printing, CNC, etc.). Knowledge of materials (plastics, metals) and lubrication techniques. Ability to deliver actionable recommendations within budget. Why Apply? Short-term, focused project with clear deliverables.
