NEED to have SOLIDWORKS available. Should know how to use Mold Tools features (required) in Solidworks. This project should take few hours to finish. (flexible) Add this to the part that is already created. Download the part below. ( Mold - Spatula ) 1. Save the Moving and Stationary as a separate parts. The Moving should be the half that has the pin for the slot hole and the Stationary will be the half with that does not. 2. Alignment holes for alignment pins for both Moving and Stationary. Place 4 X .25" dia. holes in the corners of the two half's to help align the half's when they are closed. 3. The Sprue hole will be on the Stationary half. See below chart for size of sprue holes (based on the actual injector machine used, there are different charts for different Outlet dia). Locate the Sprue (where the plastic is actually injected) at the approximate center of mass of the spatula. (Might not be the optimal position, Run some simulations later to locate the best location) 4. Ejector pins holes will be on the Moving half. Put 1/8" dia. ejector pin holes in the Core half. This part should have two to three ejector points as you see fit. 5. Air escape channels Only on one half, 9. (of you choice). Add 20micron deep channels for the air to escape from the mold. (Micron to inch for number or switch units inside of your dimension) where the plastic is being injected (the sprue location) and where would be the "best" locations for the air to be pushed out. 6. Water cooling channels for both Moving and Stationary. Add 1/2" Dia. cooling channels through the two mold half's for water to flow. Be sure that water channels don't intersect any ejector or alignment holes. 7. Fillets to mold for both Moving and Stationary. Add a 1/128" fillet to the two half's where they intersect (the parting line, the outside edges of the core and cavity and the alignment and ejector holes). NEED TO SUBMIT both the Core and Cavity Parts. Submit Two (2) parts. SHOULD be in SOLIDWORKS FILE FORMAT ( SDPRT. )
