Description: I’m looking for a skilled CAD professional who specializes in reverse engineering physical components. Project Scope: • I will ship you several precision-machined metal parts. • Your job is to measure and accurately recreate each part in CAD (STEP or equivalent file format). • Once all individual parts are modeled, I’ll need a fully assembled 3D model built from them. You can use Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or any comparable CAD platform—what matters most is accuracy and clean export of STEP files. Ideal Candidate: • Experience with reverse engineering physical parts • Strong knowledge of tolerances, precision measurement, and CAD best practices • Comfortable receiving and handling physical parts (U.S.-based preferred for shipping purposes) • Bonus if you’ve done mechanical assemblies or machine part modeling before Please include: • Samples of relevant past work • Your location • Typical turnaround time for similar projects
