Hi Freelancers, We are looking for an experienced Frontend Developer to help us implement UI enhancements and fix several UI-related bugs for our web application, "Story Stream" (built with React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Supabase). Story Stream is a tool designed to help writers analyze and structure their books. This project involves tackling a specific list of UI-focused tasks derived from our GitHub issues. While backend familiarity (Supabase) is a plus, the core work is frontend implementation and refinement. Project Scope & Key Tasks: We have a list of approximately 14 specific tasks defined in GitHub issues (access will be provided). These tasks primarily involve: UI Implementation from Figma: Updating key pages/components (like the Book Home Page and Roadmap views) to match provided Figma designs. Component Enhancements: Improving existing UI elements (e.g., using Character Cards instead of table rows, adding Breadcrumbs, fixing navigation display issues). Data Display & Status Updates: Implementing UI elements to show background task processing status and fixing issues with data display (e.g., colors, labels, categorization on the Roadmap). User Experience Improvements: Addressing issues like empty states (no books), fixing logout functionality, handling browser back button issues after Stripe interaction, and re-enabling purchase checks. Bug Fixing: Resolving specific UI bugs detailed in the GitHub issues (e.g., markdown display errors). Required Skills: Proven experience with React Strong proficiency in Next.js Expertise in Tailwind CSS for styling Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript Experience with Git/GitHub workflow (pull requests, issue tracking) Ability to translate requirements (GitHub issues, Figma designs) into clean, functional UI code Strong communication skills Bonus Points: Experience with Supabase Experience directly implementing Figma designs Previous work on SaaS applications Budget & Payment: This is a fixed-price project. Our budget is approximately $2000 USD for the completion of the defined list of tasks. We prefer a fixed-price structure to ensure clarity on deliverables and budget, rather than hourly tracking.
