We need proposals ASAP. We are seeking a licensed Fire Protection Engineer or firm to provide a stamped Fire Alarm design for a Tenant Improvement (TI) project in San Francisco. Scope of Work: - Design must be based on the as-built drawings (attached). - Project is a TI retrofit in a fully sprinklered mixed-use building (residential over commercial). - The design must comply with: NFPA 72 (2016 with CA amendments) San Francisco Fire Code and Building Code Low frequency sounder requirements (SFFC 1103.7.6.1) Pathway survivability per NFPA 72 – 24.3.6.7 Include provisions for: - Visual notification appliance infrastructure in dwelling units - HVAC smoke shutdown (with duct detectors monitored by FA system) - Integration with sprinkler flow activation for in-unit notification - Design must be prepared for deferred submittal and AHJ review - Coordinate with ERRCS requirements (file provided for context) Deliverables: - Fire Alarm system plans and riser - Device layout based on the TI scope - Sequence of operations - Battery calculations - Panel schedules (if applicable) - Engineer’s stamp for the State of California Notes: - Please review the as-built plans carefully to base your bid. - We are looking for a fixed price proposal with scope clarification if needed. - You must be authorized to stamp in California.
