About the job: - We are seeking a skilled seamstress or seamster to create high-quality pillows. - Candidates in the Bay Area are preferred as we are based in San Francisco, CA. Surrounding areas will also be considered. We are open to candidates outside California. - Pillow designs will be pre cut and ready to sew. All we need is sewing and placing the label. We require you to leave a small opening and not completely close the seam as we need room to turn inside out and stuff them. - We can give you a sample for reference. - These are not square shaped pillows, they are novelty shaped pillows such as a flower, heart, etc. - Small batch production (up to 5 pillows at a time) possibly more than one style but it depends. The ideal candidate will have experience in sewing and a keen eye for detail. Experience working with woven, knit fabrics and faux furs. Industrial sewing machines are recommended but not required. No need to serge the seam allowance. Responsibilities include sewing pillows to specification. If you are passionate about textile work and have a portfolio showcasing your previous projects, we would love to hear from you. Join us in crafting beautiful and comfortable pillows that enhance the home environment. This is an easy job for someone who's an experienced sewer. First we will do a test sample then if approved, give you up to 5 units at a time and if it goes well, give you more work. We are open to working with you on more advanced projects as we are looking to make more products such as clothing and handbags. We are open to working with either an individual or a small group of sewers and if successful this will be continuous, on-going work. Open to negotiate a price for the sewing labor.
