You can make a difference — from home. Lemontree is a nonprofit that builds technology to help hungry families navigate food assistance. We run a food helpline that connects people to the free food resources in their communities, and we’re hiring a bilingual (English/Spanish) Customer Service Specialist to join our remote team. This is a part-time, fixed-schedule position with weekend shifts and flexibility to fill in on weekdays as needed. It's ideal for someone who is available every Saturday & Sunday, and is looking for meaningful, mission-driven, part-time work. What You’ll Do You’ll be on the front lines of our text-based helpline, helping people in need find local food resources with empathy and care. Respond to inbound text messages and occasional phone calls Listen without judgment and refer clients to food resources Communicate with warmth, clarity, and cultural humility Collaborate closely with a small, passionate remote team What We’re Looking For Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken + written) Strong communicator with deep empathy and patience Typing speed of 50+ WPM Computer required, with strong/stable internet and a quiet place to work–you should have your own suitable remote work setup. Experience in customer service, hospitality, or community care is a plus! This job is 100% remote but must be located in Maryland, Texas, New York, or Georgia Must be available during Eastern Time hours Weekend availability every Saturday and Sunday is required Schedule Weekly hours range from 16–20 hours Shifts are between 9am–5pm ET or 10am–6pm ET You will work every weekend (Saturday + Sunday) Friday team meetings every other week Specialists Team Meeting every Wednesday (~1hr) Availability to cover Monday–Friday shifts when needed is highly preferred Why Join Lemontree?
