Seeking experienced Backend Technical SEO consultation. I have a 10+ years old 15 page website that I am updating the overall front end design using Kadence. I currently have about 250 photos, and will be adding an additional 200 + photos in the new site. The site is photo intensive . like a photographers site but is more of a gallery of past work . For the new site, I have completed most of the front end design work, navigation, menus, etc. The updated site will have about 10 new pages in addition to the old pages. The domain name will not be changing. I want to make sure the existing pages will be seamless as seen by google bot. The new pages will of course be new to google bot. I use Yoast Premium which has a setting, “ ENABLE MEDIA PAGES “, which has been set to “ENABLED” . Yoast stated that if “ ENABLE MEDIA PAGES “ is DISABLED, it will cause all attachment URLs to be redirected to the media itself, So I have it ENABLED and use a re direct 302 back to my site. When a user clicks the image in google search they are taken to a page on my site. This in turn causes Google Seach Console to show about 200+ non indexed “pages” . The non indexed :pages” are not web pages per se, but refer to the attachment URL ( I think) The new site has (or will have) extensive additional text and articles compared to the old site.
