About the Role We're seeking a strategic, execution-focused Solutions Architect / Cloud Architect to lead the design of end-to-end technology architectures for clients undergoing digital transformation. This role is equal parts systems thinker, solution designer, and API-savvy architect. You’ll be responsible for translating client objectives into a scalable, integrated tech stack—with detailed recommendations, vendor evaluations, integration mapping, and pricing models to match. You’ll work closely with client stakeholders, project managers, and implementation teams to define not just what needs to be built, but why, how, and in what order. What You'll Do Scoping & Requirements Gathering Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to map out business processes, pain points, user needs, and system interdependencies. Translate operational and revenue goals into technical requirements (e.g., job lifecycle visibility, marketing attribution, dispatch workflows). Technology Stack Design Architect full-scale system recommendations—selecting best-in-class tools for CRM, job management, ERP, documentation, fleet tracking, analytics, etc. Document and present tech stack blueprints, including decision rationale, vendor pricing and packaging comparisons, and scalability considerations. Integration & API Architecture Evaluate and document integration feasibility using vendor APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, etc.) and define necessary data flows and sync rules. Draft systems architecture diagrams and integration maps with proposed middleware (e.g., Make.com, Workato, custom connectors) as needed. Solution Packaging & Rollout Planning Recommend technology bundles based on business stage and size (Crawl/Walk/Run), with phased rollout plans and resourcing needs. Collaborate with project managers to estimate timeline, effort, and implementation complexity by phase. Cross-functional Collaboration Work with implementation engineers to scope system configurations and custom development. Liaise with RevOps and Data/BI teams to ensure architecture supports downstream reporting, automation, and marketing analytics. Skills & Qualifications 5+ years in a Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or Cloud Architect role, ideally in a SaaS-heavy environment. Deep understanding of business systems across sales, operations, finance, and service—bonus for field services, construction, or restoration industry knowledge. Proficiency in designing API-first architectures; comfortable reading and evaluating API docs and identifying integration constraints. Strong communication and presentation skills—you can explain tech strategy to a CFO and map JSON payloads for a developer. Experience scoping multi-system implementations across 3+ platforms (e.g., CRM, ERP, job management, analytics). Comfort evaluating and comparing SaaS pricing, packaging, and enterprise capabilities (single sign-on, role permissions, support tiers, etc.). Experience with Airtable, HubSpot, Albiware, Xactimate, Encircle, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Zapier/Make.com, or similar tools is a big plus.
