Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Xojo developer to support and enhance a custom in-house ERP system used by a mid-sized manufacturing company. This is a unique opportunity to work on a mature and highly customized application that manages everything from authentication and user access to complex order processing, job costing, and detailed reporting. About the Environment: • The ERP application was developed using the Xojo programming framework. • Hosted on a Mac environment with a MySQL backend. • Nearly all workstations are Apple Mac computers, except for one. • The system supports a range of business operations including: • Custom product management • Client and order tracking • Detailed job costing per item • Rich internal reporting • User authentication and role-based access Requirements: • Proven experience in Xojo development, preferably with large or complex business applications. • Strong understanding of MySQL, particularly in relation to data integrity and performance optimization. • Comfortable working in a Mac-based environment—both as a developer and for testing purposes. • Experience with ERP systems or manufacturing workflows is strongly preferred. • Ability to collaborate with non-technical, older workforce members (many team members are over the age of 60). Clear, respectful, and patient communication is essential. • Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently while still aligning with the business team. Scope of Work: • Review, maintain, and extend the existing Xojo-based ERP system. • Implement new features as needed (e.g., reports, costing modules, user interface enhancements). • Resolve bugs or usability issues identified by the internal team. • Document key functionality and support internal knowledge transfer when necessary. Engagement Details: • Remote position (some flexibility for occasional on-site consultation may be ideal but not required). • Ongoing work available depending on fit and performance. • Hourly or milestone-based engagement negotiable.
