Grants and Funding Specialist – Industrial Machinery and Automation

Overview: We are seeking an hourly contractor to help identify, apply for, and manage local, state, and federal grants, loans, and funding programs that support our industrial machinery and automation business. This role will work on a project or hourly basis to drive funding opportunities that align with our growth and innovation goals. Key Responsibilities: - Research and identify grants, loans, tax incentives, and funding programs for manufacturing and automation. - Prepare and submit high-quality grant applications and funding proposals. - Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical and financial information. - Track deadlines, compliance requirements, and reporting for awarded funds. - Build relationships with local agencies, SBA, DEED, and federal programs, as needed. - Advise leadership on funding strategies to support expansion projects. Requirements: - 5+ years experience in grant writing, funding research, or economic development (manufacturing focus preferred). - Proven success securing grants or funding for industrial, technology, or manufacturing companies. - Strong writing, research, and project management skills. - Familiarity with programs like SBA loans, DEED grants, DOE funding, and R&D incentives. - Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
