Overview: We are a fast-growing US-based managed security services company seeking a strategic, metrics-driven Freelance Social Media Expert to increase our brand’s visibility, engagement, and follower base—starting with LinkedIn, with potential expansion to other platforms in the future. This is an ongoing, hourly role for a professional who knows how to optimize B2B content for impact, drive engagement through organic and paid methods, and build a smart, scalable social media presence. Key Objectives: * Grow our audience, visibility and following on LinkedIn * Increase engagement and interaction with target audiences * Optimize company content for social impact content will be written internally but would be expected to critique and edit for maximum impact) * Collaborate, advise on, and manage an LinkedIn editorial calendar * Track and report on KPIs with actionable insights Key Responsibilities: Strategic Oversight & Planning • Develop and manage a LinkedIn-focused social media strategy aligned with business goals • Maintain a high-performing editorial calendar • Recommend content formats and tactics to maximize visibility and engagement Content Execution & Management • Load, schedule, and manage company posts and articles directly on LinkedIn • Edit and optimize provided content (e.g., blog posts, thought leadership) for maximum impact • Ensure posts are timely, well-formatted, and aligned with best practices Visual Strategy & Coordination • Advise on or help develop branded LinkedIn visuals and artwork for posts, banners, and promotions • Collaborate with a designer or use tools directly to ensure all graphics are compelling and brand-compliant Growth & Engagement Tactics • Leverage both organic and paid strategies to grow followers and increase post interaction • Recommend creative engagement mechanisms such as polls, carousel posts, video clips, etc. • Monitor LinkedIn trends and adapt content strategy accordingly Analytics & Optimization • Track performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, engagement rate, and follower growth • Provide regular reports and insights, with recommendations for continual improvement • Showcase results and ROI of social activity using data and platform insights Required Qualifications: Strong, demonstrable experience managing and growing LinkedIn accounts for B2B companies Excellent editing and formatting skills for turning existing content into high-impact social posts Familiarity with LinkedIn’s algorithms, publishing tools, and paid campaign mechanics Proven success driving follower growth and engagement through both organic and paid means Solid understanding of brand voice, design collaboration, and social media visual standards Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate proactively Preferred Qualifications: Background in B2B tech, cybersecurity, or managed services industries Familiarity with tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, or similar Experience working alongside content teams and graphic designers What We Offer: Flexible, remote hourly work with potential for a long-term collaboration A steady stream of high-quality content and team support Clear strategic direction and openness to ideas that drive engagement A professional, fast-paced environment where your impact will be visible and valued How to Apply: Please submit your proposal including: A brief summary of your experience with LinkedIn content strategy and execution Portfolio or examples of past results, especially around engagement or growth Your hourly rate and typical weekly availability We look forward to finding a strategic partner to help us elevate our social presence and connect more deeply with our audience.
