Senior Shopify / Full Stack Web Developer

Boutique digital agency is seeking an experienced senior full stack developer with 5yrs + of Shopify Plus experience for an exciting opportunity for a Fortune 500 Client. Independent contractors only - No agencies. The developer would be part of a client-facing team that includes a project directors, product specialists, marketing leads, and web administrators. The e-commerce environment includes integrations with Akeneo, Oracle ERPs and various third-party apps. Experience will Ella theme is preferred. You will need to work EST USA. Must be a solid believer in producing high quality code with outstanding coding standard tactics and fast. Be available for daily standups and a solid grasp of English, are required. Responsibilities Include but not limited to: • Develop on the Shopify Plus platform, themes, liquid/Vue programming language and custom apps • Maintain and enhance existing Shopify Plus ecommerce websites while adhering to best practices • Work in team environment to develop responsive front-end experiences in Shopify that engage visitors and convert them into customers • Develop scalable responsive templates to provide progressive enhancement for modern browsers • Build new Shopify sites and integrations to 3rd party products and in-house ERP system • Implement and test software products and plugins for Shopify integrations • Contribute to continual front-end enhancements and conversion optimization on the website • Communicate with all stakeholders when you don’t have what you need or when a project could be delayed with as much advance notice as possible • Additional ad hoc requests, as needed   Requirements/ Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field, preferred • 5 - 8 Years of experience in Website Development and preferably in large scale ecommerce • Shopify Plus experience required • Strong competence in Shopify Liquid template language • Experience with Shopify object/properties, AJAX API and Meta fields • Experience with third party services and APIs, specifically plugins for Shopify • Experience with Typescript/Javascript backend development, JSON and RESTful interfaces • Fluency in common web development languages, including HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/jQuery frameworks (React, and Node.js). • Experience with Product Information Management products like Akeneo a plus • Oracle R12 ERP exposure a plus • Experience using AWS/Azure, Java, PHP preferred • Experience with best practices for QA, cross browser testing and debugging Any dev team lead experience will be highly preferred.
