We’re expanding our team and need a versatile civil-litigation paralegal to manage files from pre-suit through trial. What You’ll Be Doing Pre-Suit Matters Draft and send demand letters under applicable statutes Prepare complaints, summons, and cover letters E-file pleadings and docket documents; track service deadlines Discovery (Requests & Responses) Draft and serve interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission Organize and index incoming documents; prepare production sets and privilege logs Draft discovery responses and manage meet-and-confers Legal Research & Problem Solving Independently research case law, statutes, and court rules Propose procedural and strategic solutions for complex issues Summarize findings in clear memos for attorneys Trial & Hearing Support Compile exhibit and hearing binders; draft witness outlines Assist with motions, briefs, and affidavits; assemble hearing notebooks Coordinate logistics for depositions, hearings, and trial dates Team Collaboration Work closely with attorneys and other paralegals to maintain seamless workflows Monitor calendars, deadlines, and next-step task lists Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff Your Qualifications 5+ years’ paralegal experience in general civil litigation Proven ability to draft pleadings, discovery, and correspondence Hands-on experience with e-filing systems and case-management software Strong legal-research skills and independent judgment Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail Clear, concise written and verbal communication Why Work with Us Flexible Remote Work: Control your hours on a contract basis Steady Flow of Files: Reliable assignments from established practices Competitive Rates: Please include your expected hourly rate Professional Growth: Collaborate on high-stakes files and hone your litigation expertise How to Apply Submit on Upwork: A brief cover letter outlining your civil-litigation paralegal experience Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis—looking forward to seeing how you can elevate our team!
