Fractional Legal Specialist

We’re a global innovation and venture building firm looking for an experienced Legal Specialist to support us on a fractional basis. If you're a former in-house counsel, paralegal, or legal technologist who enjoys project-based work and thrives in a detail-oriented, independent role—this may be a perfect fit. We're looking for someone who can jump in and provide practical, business-savvy legal support: reviewing and drafting contracts, improving templates, flagging risks, and helping us keep our legal docs clean, compliant, and useful. This role is fractional—expect 2–3 hours of work most weeks, with occasional surges up to 10 hours depending on volume (e.g., during RFP submissions or vendor onboarding cycles). Key Responsibilities - Draft and review a variety of business contracts, including: - NDAs, MNDAs, vendor and client agreements, consulting agreements, SOWs - RFP-related legal documents - Flag legal or commercial risks (e.g., uncapped liability, ambiguous scope, misaligned payment terms) - Translate legal language into clear summaries for internal stakeholders - Maintain and improve contract templates across multiple legal entities - Support international contract review when needed - Help track key terms and ensure legal documents are well-organized Requirements - 3–5+ years of legal or paralegal experience (experience in court, in-house, or commercial law preferred) - Strong understanding of vendor/client agreements and business operations - Ability to work independently and communicate clearly - Experience with international or cross-border contracts is a plus - Excellent attention to detail and legal writing skills - Comfortable working in Google Docs, Word, or PDF with track changes and redlines Project Type & Duration - Hourly, ongoing project - Estimated workload: 2–3 hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 10 hours as needed - Long-term collaboration preferred To Apply Please share a brief description of your background, types of contracts you’ve worked on, and why fractional work fits your goals.
