We are seeking a highly experienced and independent Risk Manager with strong OSHA credentials to support our New York workers' compensation strategy business. This role is crucial for assisting our business clients in minimizing workplace risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing their workers' compensation programs. Responsibilities: Risk Assessment & Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of client workplaces, identifying potential hazards and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement tailored risk management strategies to mitigate workplace risks specific to New York regulations. Provide expert advice on safety protocols and best practices to minimize workplace accidents and injuries. OSHA Compliance & Training: Ensure client compliance with all relevant OSHA regulations and standards. Conduct OSHA-related training sessions for client employees and management. Assist clients in preparing for and responding to OSHA inspections. Interpret and apply OSHA standards to client work environments. Workers' Compensation Strategy Support: Analyze clients' workers' compensation data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations on strategies to reduce workers' compensation costs. Assist clients in developing and implementing return-to-work programs. Help clients navigate the complex NY workers’ compensation system. Independent Consultation: Provide unbiased and independent advice, free from agency affiliations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance. Deliver clear and concise reports and presentations to clients. Stay up to date on all changes to OSHA and NY workers’ compensation laws. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Risk Manager, with a strong focus on OSHA compliance and NY workers' compensation. Valid and current OSHA credentials (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, OSHA 500/510, etc.). In-depth knowledge of New York workers' compensation laws and regulations. Excellent understanding of risk assessment methodologies and safety management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and1 manage multiple projects. Must be independent and not affiliated with a workers comp insurance agency. Experience in multiple industries is a plus. Project Deliverables: Detailed risk assessment reports. Customized safety protocols and procedures. OSHA compliance training materials. Workers' compensation analysis reports and recommendations.
