We are seeking a highly experienced financial modeling consultant (CFO-level or strategic finance expert) to work closely with our founder to build a sophisticated expansion model and prepare materials for an upcoming investor raise. This is a short-term, high-impact role ideal for someone with a deep understanding of startup growth modeling, capital planning, and fundraising strategy. You’ll sit with the founder (virtually or in person), get briefed on our vision, current numbers, and operational realities—and then help translate that into a clear, data-driven financial model and a handful of investor-ready slides. What You'll Do: Meet 1:1 with the founder to understand our business model, traction, growth strategy, and financial structure Build a dynamic, investor-ready financial model forecasting our national expansion—designed for clarity and flexibility Stress-test assumptions and identify constraints, variables, and capital requirements Distill your analysis into 2–3 clear slides for our Series A pitch deck, highlighting expansion logic and funding rationale Be a thought partner in structuring how we tell our growth story through numbers What We’re Looking For: 7+ years in financial strategy, FP&A, investment banking, or as a fractional/freelance CFO Proven experience creating growth models and supporting fundraising for early-stage or scaling companies Excellent command of Excel/Google Sheets (bonus: familiarity with investor pitch platforms like Canva, Pitch, or PowerPoint) Strategic communicator—able to simplify complexity into crisp, compelling visuals and messaging Bonus: experience in climate, sustainability, or mission-driven businesses Deliverables: A robust, spreadsheet-based financial model for a national rollout strategy A short slide deck (2–3 slides) summarizing the model's logic and capital needs for inclusion in a pitch deck
