I use iTunes for my home entertainment system on a Windows PC. I have about 140GB of music I have either ripped from CDs I own or purchased from Apple. Recently I got a message saying my iTunes file was corrupted. I tried opening a past version of the program but the links did not go to the correct songs since I had gotten a new hard drive since the older version. I manually linked one song and using the “find other songs” it was able to link about 7000 songs of a total of 9000 songs. I can’t get the other 2000 songs to “auto link” Most of the unlinked songs are classical songs so the issue may be how they are stored. I have rated all my songs and have over 2 dozen custom playlists (mostly smart playlists) so a fresh upload of the media was not an option since I would lose all my song ratings and playlists. I need assistance in getting the library restored. AI says there are 3rd party tools but that is above my pay-grade. I assume this repair can be done remotely and I am looking for a tech person to assist. If interested please reply with your experience/qualifications and either a flat rate or hourly rate to do the work.
