Description: We are a Texas-based design + build firm specializing in commercial garage-style facilities with 60+ private units per site. Our internal team handles all design, layout, renderings, material selections (SKUs), and MEP documentation. We are seeking a licensed architect in Texas to act in a compliance and stamping capacity — not a design or drafting role. Scope of Work: 1. Review & Stamp Existing Plans: * Confirm that layouts and MEPs developed by our in-house team meet applicable code requirements (ADA, fire rating, egress, occupancy, etc.) * Stamp and sign off on plans for permit submission * Provide oversight-level review, not design input 2. Create Regional Compliance Guidelines (Per Market): * Develop internal use guides for different cities (e.g., Austin, Dallas) outlining required specs like wall assemblies, clearances, ADA, fire code, etc. * These guidelines will allow our design team to reduce revisions and expedite future work * You’ll review and stamp completed plans using this framework What We’re NOT Looking For: * No 3D renderings * No blueprint drafting from scratch * No interior design input We already have a full internal team handling all creative and layout work. We are looking for a Texas-based architect to review, confirm compliance, and provide permitting approval. Requirements: * Must be a licensed architect in Texas * Deep understanding of permitting and code compliance across Texas (especially Austin) * Experience in commercial interiors or facility build-outs preferred * Comfortable working off plans created by others * Bonus if you also hold a PE (Professional Engineer) license, or if you work closely with a PE and can handle all required structural sign-offs internally Compensation: * Flat fee to develop compliance guidelines (per market) * Flat or hourly rate per stamped plan To Apply, Please Answer the Following: 1. Are you based in Texas? 2. Are you licensed as an architect in Texas? 3. Are you licensed as a PE, or do you work with one for structural needs? 4. Do you have a portfolio of commercial projects or similar facility types? 5. Are you comfortable reviewing and stamping plans developed by another design team? 6. Would you be able to develop regional compliance guidelines for future use? 7. Are you comfortable serving in an oversight role focused on compliance, permitting, and stamping (rather than hands-on design)?
