ABOUT PORTAL Portal.io is a SaaS platform serving professional installers (think 'AV guy' or 'Security Installer'). Our goal is to take the friction out of running a professional installation company. Thousands of small businesses use our service, with our most popular module being our Proposal tool. THE POSITION We’re seeking a UI Designer to create polished, user-facing components for our SaaS tool. You’ll work closely with our Founder, Product Manager, and Development team to execute high-fidelity designs in Figma & maintain our component library. UX experience is a plus, but most user flows and rough mockups will be provided to you by our Product Managers. We're also looking for someone who has Graphic Design experience to help with marketing emails & ads. RESPONSIBILITIES Design High-Fidelity UI: Create polished Figma designs for Portal’s features (e.g., catalog search, proposal builder) based on wireframes or sketches from product managers. Maintain Design System: Update and document our Figma component library to ensure consistency across the platform (e.g., buttons, filters, cards). Collaborate with Team: Work with Product Managers to align designs with feature requirements, and developers to ensure dev-ready handoffs during sprints. Support Marketing Assets: Design occasional marketing materials (e.g., website graphics, emails). QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of UI design experience, ideally for SaaS or B2B software platforms. Basic understanding of UX principles (e.g., wireframing, prototyping) to collaborate effectively with Product Managers. Expert in Figma, with experience using and maintaining component libraries. Strong portfolio showcasing clean, modern UI designs and responsive layouts. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering designs on tight sprint schedules (1-2 week cycles). Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with PMs, devs, and scrum master.
