$65.00
Hourly: $65.00 - $100.00

We are seeking an experienced, well-connected Public Relations Specialist based in Colorado—ideally in the Denver metro area—to support an upcoming week-long political book tour for Dr. Paul Zeitz, author of Hit Refresh on the U.S. Constitution. This is a time-sensitive and high-impact opportunity for a dynamic PR professional who can leverage their local knowledge and network to help elevate awareness and participation for a fast-paced, grassroots-oriented tour focused on democracy reform and civic engagement. Project Overview: Dr. Zeitz’s Colorado tour (June 9–15) will include a mix of public appearances, community gatherings, media interviews, book club conversations, and civic-minded events—from small living-room meetings to large public protests or panels. We are seeking to maximize his visibility and open the door to creative, collaborative engagements with local organizers, journalists, bookstores, universities, nonprofits, and thought leaders. Responsibilities: Identify, pitch, and secure opportunities for Dr. Zeitz to appear at local venues, community events, and media platforms Coordinate and schedule appearances in collaboration with Dr. Zeitz’s national team Assist with local outreach to grassroots organizations, independent bookstores, student groups, and civic coalitions Secure interviews and features in local print, radio, podcasts, or television media Support event logistics and communications on the ground as needed Collaborate with potential partner organizations to co-host or promote events Ideal Candidate: Based in Colorado, with preference given to those located in the Denver metro area 5+ years of experience in public relations, media booking, or grassroots event promotion Strong network of Colorado-based media, community leaders, and political/civic organizations Ability to work independently, communicate professionally, and think creatively Comfortable working with values-driven, nonpartisan political messaging Available for flexible hours and rapid coordination during the tour window Compensation: This is a contract position with negotiable flat or hourly rates depending on experience and scope of involvement. Potential for future project-based collaboration. If you're passionate about democracy, storytelling, and civic impact—and you know how to get people in the room—let’s talk.
