Note: This is an updated version of a previous posting. If you applied earlier, feel free to reapply or message us with an updated proposal. We are seeking a licensed MEP engineer in Utah to revise, update, and stamp MEP plans for a 1,498 sqft restaurant tenant improvement (TI) project in a multi-use complex. This is not just a plan review—we need active revisions to existing MEP drawings (based on updated architectural plans), followed by stamped, permit-ready deliverables. ✅ Architectural plans (CAD) are ready for use. ⚠️ Important Context: While initial MEP plans were created based on older architectural drawings, they cannot be used due to licensing issues with the original designer/freelancer. As such, the MEP plans must be fully revised by a licensed engineer who can take responsibility for and stamp the final set. These updates must also reflect the newly revised architectural layout. ⏱️ Due to earlier project delays, we’re now working on a compressed timeline and need someone who can begin immediately. PLEASE NOTE: All bids, including those moved forward to the messaging/interview stage from the previous post, will be reviewed, and a final hiring decision will be made by the end of this week at the very latest. Scope of Work: Review and revise existing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings to: Ensure full compliance with Utah building codes and local requirements Coordinate with the newly updated architectural plans (provided in CAD) Prepare and stamp final MEP drawings for permit submission Collaborate with our architect to resolve any design or coordination issues Deliver well-coordinated, accurate, and permit-ready MEP plans Requirements: Licensed to practice and stamp MEP plans in the state of Utah Experience with restaurant or similar commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects Familiarity with applicable Utah building and safety codes Ability to revise plans efficiently and provide timely turnaround Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a small design team Budget: Please submit your best fixed price for this project. Specify whether your price includes all three disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), or just selected ones If you'd like to review the architectural and existing MEP plans before quoting, we’re happy to share them How to Apply: Include your Utah license number and relevant work samples or references Confirm your availability and typical turnaround time Share your fixed price proposal and discipline coverage (M, E, P) ⚠️ Please apply only if you can fully cover the entire scope of work outlined here, including revisions, updates, and final stamping of the MEP plans. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented engineer who can help us move quickly and efficiently through the permit phase in coordination with our architect. We look forward to connecting!
