Seeking a California-licensed attorney to assist in either a limited scope capacity or as attorney of record in a criminal post-conviction matter currently pending before the California Court of Appeal, Fifth District. This is an ideal opportunity for an attorney who is licensed and available to assist — prior appellate experience is not required, as we have case materials ready to support drafting, research, and strategy. Role Overview: We are looking for an attorney who can step in to: 1. File a motion for leave to submit a supplemental brief; 2. Review and sign off on a supplemental filing addressing structural and jurisdictional errors (materials already drafted). 3. Possibly submit an objection to improper resentencing. Background: The case involves constitutional, jurisdictional and procedural issues that were not raised by previous appointed counsel.
