Detail-Oriented Virtual Assistant for FishingGear.com (Content, WordPress, and Affiliate Ops)

$30.00
Hourly: $30.00 - $45.00

Are you someone who thrives on structure, details, and keeping a fast-moving content business running like a well-oiled trolling motor? We’re looking for a virtual assistant to help manage and grow FishingGear.com—a top-tier fishing site that blends Field & Stream grit with Jeff Foxworthy wit. This is a long-term, ongoing role for someone who can take the reins on the operational details, freeing up the founder (a big-picture entrepreneur) to focus on strategy and growth. What You'll Be Doing: 1) Content Organization & Management 2) Maintain a content tracker in Google Sheets (Published, Needs Review, Scheduled, In Progress, Needs Update). 3) Coordinate content review and publishing cycles. 4) Track internal linking and SEO optimization needs. 5) WordPress & Elementor Execution: Take finalized content from Google Docs and format/publish it in WordPress using Elementor. 6) Ensure on-brand styling, image placement, spacing, and flow. 7) Add internal and external links, affiliate tags, and proper meta data (provided). 8) Affiliate & Monetization Coordination: Maintain an affiliate tracker (who we’ve joined, who we’re applying to, commission rates, login details). 9) Insert affiliate links into relevant content. 10) Coordinate with the founder on product categories and monetization opportunities. Operational Support Organize and upload featured images. Set up newsletter CTAs and lead magnets using tools we already have (Elementor, MailerLite, Make.com). Document processes as you go, helping to build repeatable systems. Required Skills: Extreme attention to detail. If typos, spacing issues, or misaligned images bother you, you're our kind of person. Solid WordPress experience. Bonus if you’ve used Elementor, AIO SEO, or WP Rocket. Basic HTML & CSS for occasional content tweaks. Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive wizardry. You'll live in these. Can follow SOPs, improve them, or help build them from scratch. Experience with affiliate marketing or monetized content sites is a huge plus. Familiarity with tools like Make.com (Integromat), Google Suite, etc. You’re resourceful—you Google first, ask second. Excellent written English for formatting and clarity (not writing articles, just making sure they’re clean and correct). What Success Looks Like: The content calendar and post statuses are always up-to-date. Blog posts go from Google Docs → live on the site without the founder needing to lift a finger. Affiliate links are organized and fully integrated. Nothing slips through the cracks. Extras: Flexible hours. Long-term potential. Fun, outdoor-loving brand with major plans (and premium domains) across the fishing industry. Opportunity to grow into a site manager role if you crush it.
