Position Summary Data Defenders is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Microsoft Purview End User Trainer to develop and deliver high-quality training programs aimed at enabling end users to effectively utilize Microsoft Purview for data governance, compliance, and cataloging. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft 365 compliance and security tools, excellent communication skills, and a passion for user enablement and digital transformation. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Training Program Development o Design and develop engaging training materials (presentations, guides, videos, and hands-on labs) tailored to various user groups and organizational roles. o Customize training content based on use cases related to data discovery, classification, cataloging, and compliance using Microsoft Purview. o Develop assessments to evaluate training effectiveness and user comprehension. • Training Delivery o Conduct live training sessions (in-person or virtual) for business users, data stewards, compliance teams, and other stakeholders. o Facilitate workshops, webinars, and Q&A sessions to reinforce learning and address user questions. • Stakeholder Collaboration o Work closely with data governance teams, compliance officers, and IT administrators to understand business requirements and translate them into effective learning experiences. o Serve as a subject matter expert on end user functionality within Microsoft Purview. • Ongoing Support & Improvement o Provide post-training support and create self-service documentation (FAQs, how-to articles). o Collect feedback and continuously refine training programs to improve outcomes and user satisfaction. ________________________________________ Qualifications Required: • Proven experience delivering user training for Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Microsoft Purview. • Deep understanding of Microsoft Purview components such as: o Data Map and Data Catalog o Information Protection & Classification o Data Lifecycle Management o Insider Risk Management o Compliance Manager • Strong instructional design and training delivery skills. • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities. • Ability to translate technical features into practical business usage. • Experience using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft tools for content delivery. Preferred: • Microsoft Certified: Purview, Security Administrator, or Information Protection certifications. • Background in data governance, data protection, or compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). • Experience in change management or user adoption initiatives. ________________________________________ Soft Skills • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. • Adaptability to different learning styles and organizational cultures. • Detail-oriented with a focus on user experience and engagement. ________________________________________
