Scope of Work: Overview The Email Marketing Technology Specialist is responsible for the execution, delivery, monitoring, and reporting of all email marketing campaigns. This role ensures high email deliverability rates, maintains domain health, and provides data-driven insights to optimize performance. Responsibilities A. Email Deployment & Execution - Set up, test, and deploy marketing and transactional email campaigns using the company’s email service provider (ESP). Implement audience segmentation and personalization strategies to enhance engagement. - Ensure email templates are optimized for mobile and desktop responsiveness. - Manage dynamic content and automation workflows for targeted campaigns. B. Email Deliverability & Domain Health Management - Monitor email deliverability rates and maintain domain reputation. - Manage DNS settings, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication, to improve inbox placement. Implement best practices for IP warming, list hygiene, and spam compliance. - Monitor and address issues related to blacklists, spam complaints, and bounce rates. - Work with IT and ESP providers to troubleshoot deliverability issues. C. Performance Monitoring & Reporting - Track key email metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, bounce rates, and unsubscribe rates. - Provide weekly and monthly reports with insights and recommendations for optimization. - A/B test subject lines, content, and send times to improve performance. - Use analytics tools to assess email engagement and make data-driven recommendations. D. Compliance & Best Practices - Ensure email campaigns comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other applicable regulations. - Stay up to date with industry best practices, trends, and changes in email algorithms. - Maintain clean and segmented email lists to reduce spam risks. E. Collaboration & Process Improvement - Work closely with marketing, content, and design teams to align email strategy with broader marketing initiatives. - Assist in selecting and implementing new email marketing tools or features. - Document email workflows, processes, and best practices for internal reference. 3. Deliverables - Successful deployment of all scheduled email campaigns. - Weekly email performance reports with insights and recommendations. - Monthly deliverability audits and domain health reports. - A/B testing results and optimization strategies. 4. Qualifications & Skills Required - Experience with email marketing platforms like Keap and Maropost. - Strong understanding of email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and deliverability best practices. - Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email formatting and troubleshooting. - Knowledge of compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA). - Analytical mindset with experience in email performance tracking and reporting.
