**Job Summary:** We are looking for an experienced Demand Generation specialist with a passion for community-driven, organic growth to join our team on a contract basis. This role is focused on maximizing engagement with our content and fostering an active developer community around our API. You'll be responsible for establishing and managing our social media presence, setting up and moderating our developer forum, and engaging with external developer communities. Your goal is to drive API sign-ups and usage, grow our community, and increase our social media following without relying heavily on paid ads. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Content Engagement & Social Media Strategy:** - Develop and execute a social media content calendar, establishing a regular posting schedule across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and other relevant platforms. - Optimize social media content for organic reach and engagement, including copywriting, graphic creation (or coordination with design), and community interaction. - Track and analyze social media performance metrics (e.g., engagement rates, follower growth), aiming for a steady monthly growth (target: +10% increase). 2. **Community Building & Developer Forum:** - Set up and launch a soft version of our developer forum, selecting the appropriate platform (e.g., Discourse, Slack, Discord) and configuring initial categories. - Develop and execute a plan for forum moderation, including guidelines for community engagement and proactive seeding of discussions. - Monitor forum activity, track metrics such as sign-ups and active members, and adjust strategies to foster a vibrant, engaged community. 3. **External Community Engagement:** - Actively participate in external developer communities (e.g., GitHub, Stack Overflow, Reddit, relevant Slack groups) to share our content, answer questions, and build brand credibility. - Identify and nurture relationships with key developer influencers and potential early advocates, setting the foundation for a referral/ambassador program. - Coordinate with the internal team to gather and share testimonials or case studies that resonate with developer audiences. 4. **SEO, Email Marketing & Funnel Optimization:** - Optimize content distribution channels for SEO to drive organic traffic, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and backlink outreach. - Manage and execute email marketing campaigns (e.g., newsletters) to nurture leads and drive engagement with new content. - Track and analyze funnel metrics related to API sign-ups and usage, using insights to refine demand generation strategies and improve conversion rates. 5. **Metrics & KPI Tracking:** - **Overall Growth:** Monitor API sign-ups and usage metrics, tracking incremental lifts as content and community efforts take hold. - **Community Engagement:** Track developer forum sign-ups and active member engagement, establishing baseline metrics (even if starting from zero) with a goal of growing an active community by the end of Q1. - **Social Media Growth:** Set baseline metrics for LinkedIn and X (Twitter) followers and engagement, aiming for a consistent growth target (e.g., +10% monthly). **Required Qualifications:** - Proven experience in demand generation, developer marketing, or community growth with a focus on organic, community-driven strategies. - Strong understanding of developer communities and digital engagement tactics. - Demonstrated success in optimizing SEO, managing social media channels, and executing email marketing campaigns. - Excellent written communication skills, capable of crafting engaging content tailored to a technical B2B audience. - Hands-on experience setting up and moderating online communities or developer forums. - Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media analytics, email marketing dashboards) to measure performance and adjust strategies accordingly. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Previous experience marketing API products, developer platforms, or in the healthcare technology space. - Experience in running referral or ambassador programs, particularly in a startup or tech-driven environment. - Familiarity with community platforms like Discourse, Slack, or Discord. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong sense of initiative in a fast-paced startup environment. **Contract Details:** - **Duration:** Initial contract for the MVP phase (3-month engagement with potential for extension) - **Location:** Remote - **Application:** Please submit a resume along with a portfolio or case studies demonstrating your past success in demand generation, community building, and organic growth.
