Position Overview As a podcast segment recorder for Bully Talk Inc., you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality audio content that informs, inspires, and engages our audience. Your primary responsibility will be to record, edit, and produce podcast episodes that align with our mission to combat bullying and promote kindness in schools and communities. Key Responsibilities Content Creation: Collaborate with the content team to develop episode themes, topics, and outlines. Conduct research to ensure accuracy and relevance of information presented in each episode. Identify and secure guest speakers, including experts, survivors, and advocates in the bullying prevention space. Recording and Editing: Utilize professional audio recording equipment to capture high-quality sound during podcast sessions. Edit recorded segments to create cohesive and engaging episodes, ensuring clarity and flow. Add music, sound effects, and other audio enhancements to elevate the listening experience. Technical Proficiency: Familiarize yourself with podcasting software and equipment, including microphones, audio interfaces, and editing programs. Troubleshoot technical issues during recordings and maintain the quality of audio files. Publishing and Promotion: Assist in uploading episodes to various podcast platforms (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify) and the Bully Talk Inc. website. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new episodes through social media, newsletters, and community outreach. Audience Engagement: Monitor listener feedback and engagement metrics to continuously improve content and format. Engage with the podcast audience through Q&A sessions, polls, and social media interactions. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications: Experience in Podcasting: Previous experience in recording and editing podcasts or similar audio content is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Proficiency with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, GarageBand) and familiarity with recording equipment.
