We are seeking an experienced web developer to create a simple, clean, and fast-loading website for our non-profit hurricane relief organization. The website must be user-friendly, SEO-optimized, and designed to ensure optimal performance and visibility across both desktop and mobile devices. Speed is crucial for us, as we want to ensure that visitors can access important information quickly. We already have content ready for the site, which provides a strong foundation, though it's not 100% finalized. Additionally, we have 3 example websites that we would like to model our site after. Below, we outline the key elements we like from these sites: Team Rubicon USA (teamrubiconusa.org) The site features high-quality, well-placed images and videos that help visitors understand the impact of their volunteer work or donations. It has a clean and concise layout with short, easy-to-read content. The most common reasons people would visit the website are placed prominently at the top of the page for easy navigation. The clear calls-to-action (CTAs) are well-placed throughout the site, driving engagement. Samaritan's Purse (specifically the US Disaster Relief portion) Frequent and effective CTAs that encourage user engagement and donations. Their mission is clear and easy to find, providing immediate understanding of how visitors can help. Well-placed images and videos that highlight the human aspect, showing disaster relief efforts and volunteers in action, helping to emotionally connect with visitors. The website is very user-friendly, making navigation simple and intuitive. Ronald McDonald House (rmhc.org) Displays key statistics to highlight the need for donations, showing how much impact visitors' contributions can make. Features a visual breakdown of how donated money is spent (i.e., the percentage of donations going directly to programs vs. administrative costs). The website includes emotional images of families helped by the organization, fostering a strong connection. Effective CTAs are integrated throughout the site, encouraging users to get involved or donate. These examples serve as inspiration for how we envision the design and functionality of our site. We want to ensure the website is not only visually appealing but also highly functional, focusing on clear calls-to-action and easy navigation. Ongoing Work: The initial build will be upfront work, but we are looking to establish an ongoing working relationship for regular updates, improvements, and new features. As we expand our hurricane relief efforts, we will need to keep the website updated with new content, events, and other resources. If possible, we would love to see some examples of websites you've worked on, particularly those for non-profit organizations or sites with similar features and design elements to what we're looking for.
