Job Description: We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to build an MVP for a caregiving management application. This project focuses on developing a HIPAA-compliant solution for a family and caregiver portal with core features for communication, task management, and secure authentication. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and AWS backend development. Project Scope & Deliverables: Phase 1 – Minimal Viable Product (MVP): - Landing Page: A simple, mobile-responsive landing page as the entry point of the application. - Portals and Authentication: Secure sign-up and profile creation for family super admin and caregivers. API Suggestion: Use AWS Cognito for authentication as it supports HIPAA compliance when configured properly. - Messaging and Notes System: Ability for caregivers to record dictated notes and logs, with family super admin viewing capabilities. Integration of HIPAA-compliant messaging services is required. API Suggestion: Consider using a HIPAA-compliant messaging service such as Twilio Programmable Chat (with a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement) or building a secure messaging system using AWS AppSync, Lambda, and DynamoDB. - Task Management: Daily caregiving tasks (e.g., food, hair washing, laundry) with timestamping. Basic tracking of task completion status (completed vs. not completed) with the option for caregivers to provide reasons when tasks are not completed. Technical Requirements: Frontend: Next.js Tailwind CSS Responsive design (mobile-first approach) Backend: AWS (leveraging services such as AWS Cognito for authentication, Lambda/API Gateway for backend logic, and DynamoDB for data storage) HIPAA Compliance: Ensure that all implemented APIs (especially for sign-in and messaging) are HIPAA-compliant. AWS Cognito is recommended for authentication. For messaging, options include using a HIPAA-compliant third-party like Twilio Programmable Chat (with a HIPAA BAA) or an AWS-based solution (e.g., AWS AppSync, Lambda, and DynamoDB) to build a secure messaging platform. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and AWS backend services. Experience developing HIPAA-compliant applications. Ability to propose and implement secure, compliant APIs for sign-in and messaging. Excellent communication skills and experience in agile development. Deliverables & Timeline: Fully functional MVP (Phase 1) within an agreed fixed-price budget and timeline. Documentation of architecture, API choices, and security measures. Clear explanation and walkthrough of HIPAA compliance measures used for sign-in and messaging. Budget & Payment: Fixed price project – please include your estimated cost and timeline in your proposal.
