I’m looking for an expert Next.js developer to help customize the Next.js SaaS Project Starter Kit for an environmental compliance tracking application. You will be working directly with me—there is no team involved—so strong communication and the ability to guide through the process is important to me. I am an engineer and run the environmental compliance for a large utility so I have a good understanding of what I would like this to be, clean, simple and easy to use. The project will involve modifying the existing Next.js SaaS Starter Kit to fit compliance tracking needs, including user dashboards, data storage, and automated notifications. I want a structured approach where we first define the layout and goals, then move through design, development, and deployment in clear phases together. Project Scope & Milestones Phase 1: Planning We will begin with a discussion to define the project goals, the overall layout of the site, and key features. This phase includes wireframing the main pages and setting up the development environment. Payment: 10% upon completion. Phase 2: Frontend Customization The UI of the SaaS starter kit will be customized to match the needs of a compliance tracking system. This will include setting up dashboards, data visualization, and alert displays. Tailwind CSS will be used for styling. Payment: 25% upon completion. Phase 3: Backend & Database Setup A database will be set up using Firebase or PostgreSQL to store compliance reports. User authentication and roles will be implemented, along with API endpoints for data processing. Payment: 25% upon completion. Phase 4: Core Features & Automation Compliance tracking functionality will be added, including file uploads, tracking violations, and setting up automated email for due dates. Security measures will be implemented to ensure data integrity. Payment: 25% upon completion. Phase 5: Testing, Fixes, and Deployment The site will be tested for functionality, security, and performance. Any necessary fixes will be made, and the final version will be deployed on Vercel or AWS. Payment: 15% upon final completion. Ideal Candidate Expertise in Next.js and React, with experience developing SaaS applications. Strong backend knowledge, particularly in Firebase or PostgreSQL. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively. Previous experience with small startup projects or similar projects is a plus. Budget & Contract Details This is a fixed-price project. The expected timeline is 6-10 weeks, and we will have regular meetings to ensure progress. While this is a one-time project, there may be opportunities for ongoing support and updates in the future.
