Development of a IoT sensor prototype for the marine environment

Node core requirements: • Internal temperature sensor • Internal IR flame sensor • External float switch sensor (open/close state) • External battery voltage monitoring (12/24VDC) • LoRa radio US915 with external antenna • Monocrome 1.54” OLED display • Internal battery • Processor unit of your choice. PCB should be designed around our existing IP67 enclosure model. We will provide enclosure details and samples. Internal temperature sensor need to be mounted on the enclosure for better sensitivity. IR flame sensor must work in tandem with temperature sensor to awoid false fire alarms. Connection to external sensors (water level & external battery) need to be designed with waterproof 8 pin M12 type connector. All components must have operational range from 32F to 185F / 0C to +85C Node will need to a have power and reset switch buttons. Preferably one for both options. A monocrome 1.54” OLED display for power, Lora radio signal and faulty notifications. Node firmware must be OTA capable. Make node works initially with off-the-shelf LoRa gateway such as WisGate Edge Lite 2 RAK7268\RAK7268C for the initial testing phase. We will provide one for testing. We intend to design and operate our own private LoRa network. The network should not depend on public LoRa or Helium networks. Sensors (nodes) must send encrypted data exclusively to our private secured LoRa gateway, with no external connections in or out. Integrate nodes/gateways with services like TagoIO or Grafana for web user interface. Initial batch of up to 10-15 sensors will be required completely built and ready for installation and testing which we will organize locally.
