Location: Remote (NYC or LA preferred) Hours: Part-time, flexible (est. 10 hours per week) About The Root Project The Root Project is a clean haircare brand rooted in science, wellness, and cool beauty culture. Our products are designed for discerning, prestige beauty consumers who value effortless luxury, high-performance formulas, and insider wellness trends. We’re looking for a trend-savvy, and fast-moving Social Media Coordinator to help us bring our content to life on Instagram and TikTok. If you live and breathe social media, know how to craft engaging posts, and can quickly turn ideas into polished, thumb-stopping content, we want you! ⸻ What You’ll Do:     •    Create, edit, and post engaging Instagram and TikTok content using our existing assets (photos, videos, UGC, etc.) - open to discuss any new content creation ideas     •    Develop engaging, on-brand Reels, carousels, and Stories using current trends, transitions, and viral formats.     •    Help brainstorm and execute social-first content ideas to grow engagement and community.     •    Help write cheeky, fun, and on-brand captions that speak to our audience.     •    Stay on top of beauty and social media trends to keep The Root Project fresh and ahead of the curve.     •    Engage with our community by liking, commenting, and responding to DMs in an authentic way. ⸻ Who You Are:     •    A digital native who loves and understands Instagram, TikTok, and the ever-changing social landscape.     •    A content creator at heart—you know how to turn raw assets into aesthetic, engaging, and viral-worthy posts.     •    Someone with a great eye for visuals and understands prestige beauty aesthetics (think: minimal, chic, effortless luxury).     •    A fast executor—you don’t overthink, you create and move quickly.     •    Obsessed with cool, niche beauty and wellness trends.     •    Strong writing skills—you can craft captions that are fun, cheeky, and have personality.     •    Based in NYC or LA (preferred but not required). We would work via zoom early in the week to set objectives, check in as needed throughout the week via email/zoom/text; turnover meeting Friday via zoom.
