Marketing Analyst / Strategist


Gantzer Group has hired from Upwork for over 10 years in dozens of roles and have a near perfect score from our contractors - many of whom have worked with us for years. We will hire one or more for this role within a week, and work will ramp up quickly in December. Immediate availability and bandwidth is a must. This is NOT a branding or a marketing manager role. This role will specifically handle "first time" positioning and strategy development for products and services, one at a time, then moving on to the next. This role is also NOT intended to produce creative (although you may on occasion). Its to develop the strategies and direction other creatives will use when they produce creative assets. We are seeking an experienced marketing analyst for our growing agency to gather and review information and data from our clients to develop and recommend effective positioning, storytelling, and marketing strategies for their products and services and then see those strategies through, later review performance and making necessary adjustments. This role will focus on one of our primary markets to start - higher education marketing - but upon success will expand to our many other clients and markets. Applicants must have direct/expensive experience with the types of projects we handle, including: - Digital and traditional advertising - especially Google search and display - Content development - Web and landing page development - Nurture campaigns using text/email This role will include the following: - reviewing client input in the form of their existing marketing assets, competitor information, product / service information - interviewing key stakeholders to derive detailed product/service information - organizing, processing and making sense of such information - developing positioning strategies for products/services - developing creative briefs - some development of content or asset outlines for use by other creatives on our team such as designers and copywriters Near term, this role will work within a complex framework we've developed as an approach to marketing colleges and their programs. The ideal resource will: - have broad and deep experience across many marketing formats and channels - have a strong history of deriving CVPs and developing compelling positioning across markets while differentiating from competitors - Ability to comprehend a lot of information and work efficiently , knowing where to focus and spend time...and where not to To be considered, please provide: - your background in relation to the above - available hours per week, time zone worked in, and normal working hours each day
