Company Overview: Vista Research provides research to addiction and mental health treatment centers on how their patients are doing after they leave treatment. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, discrete, and professional freelancer to help us with our outcomes research. This is an ongoing position. Successful freelancers typically have a strong connection to the organization's mission, which is to help more people recover from addiction mental health challenges. Job Description: This position contacts former addiction and mental health treatment patients, asking them to complete a survey and telling us how they are doing. Researchers will use software to contact patients by text and email. Researchers will also contact former patients by phone to ask them to respond to the survey or complete it with the patient over the phone, if necessary. Researchers can receive bonuses for high completion rates. No sales are required; in fact, we pay the patients to take the surveys. This position is a short-term contract for approximately 90 days. If we have anticipated business growth, contract may be extended. You can expect approximately 10-15 hours of work per week. Requirements: The chosen freelancer must have solid work experience, high ratings, excellent written and oral English skills, and be willing to sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Freelancer must be able to handle sensitive information and comply with all privacy and security laws and guidelines. Passing a background check is required. Experience with telemarketing or collections work is desirable, but we've found that having an empathetic demeanor with patients is most effective. The freelancer must be based in the contiguous United States (not Hawaii or Alaska). While there is flexibility with this position, researchers connect with patients across four time zones, which means having availability to reach patients multiple days a week, between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. in all time zones, is required, with a focus on evenings. Because of Freelancers must also be available on at least one weekend day for a couple of hours (Saturday or Sunday; your choice). The freelancer must also have a quiet, private place to make confidential phone calls. Freelancers must have good, fast, reliable internet and Office 2010 or later. Computer must be encrypted and must be willing to download anti-virus software. Freelancers must also have a reliable smartphone for making outgoing calls using our business phone app.
