We are an independent bookkeeping and accounting firm that manages the books for multiple small to medium business owners. Our company is seeking an experienced 1099 bookkeeper to assist with handling all aspects of bookkeeping, from creating invoices to logging payments, processing expenses and ensuring the integrity of our organization's financial records. The successful candidates must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to record-keeping and accuracy is essential in order to ensure that our organization maintains an accurate and up-to-date record of our finances. Responsibilities: General bookkeeping Recording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process General knowledge of GAAP Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements Prepare and process invoices Process payments Prepare budget projections Prepare reports Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries Maintains historical records by filing documents Reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month Requirements and skills: Must be 1099 eligible Must be willing to sign a NDA and Noncompete agreement Must be a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and can show certification (This must be maintained year over year) Experience working with clients that require cleanups Experience working with inventory clients Proven bookkeeping experience Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software Proficiency in English and in MS Office High degree of accuracy and attention to detail At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-services environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement Experience with Quickbooks Online Must be willing to undergo a background check
