Project Overview We are seeking a technical expert to assist in setting up comprehensive tracking across all our online platforms. The goal is to gain clear insights into how customers reach our sales and checkout pages so we can optimize our marketing investments. This includes tracking paid ads (e.g., Facebook/Instagram), organic sources (Google search, blog, podcast show notes, etc.), and referral sources to measure conversion rates and return on ad spend (ROAS). Scope of Work 1. Tracking Setup & Implementation Implement Google Tag Manager (GTM) for centralized tracking management. Set up UTM tracking for all marketing channels (Facebook Ads, Instagram, blog, podcast, organic search, etc.). Configure Google Analytics (GA4) to track conversions and customer journeys. Ensure Facebook Pixel and Conversion API (CAPI) are properly set up for ad attribution and ROAS tracking. Set up event tracking to capture key actions (e.g., link clicks, add-to-cart, purchases). 2. Conversion & Attribution Tracking Implement cross-channel attribution tracking to determine where customers originate from. Set up tracking to differentiate sales from: Paid ads (Facebook, Instagram) Social media organic links Podcast show notes Blog traffic Google search (organic and paid) Email marketing campaigns Provide conversion rate tracking for each source. 3. Reporting & Dashboard Setup Set up a Google Looker Studio dashboard (or other analytics tool) to provide a clear, real-time view of traffic sources, conversions, and ROAS. Enable filtering and reporting for ad performance, conversion rates, and customer paths. 4. Testing & Validation Test tracking implementation to ensure accuracy. Validate data integrity across all platforms. 5. Training & Handoff Provide documentation on the setup, including how to track results. Offer a training session on how to interpret reports and make data-driven decisions. Qualifications Needed The ideal expert should have experience with: Google Tag Manager (GTM) Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Facebook Pixel & Conversion API (CAPI) UTM tracking and attribution modeling Google Looker Studio or similar dashboard tools eCommerce tracking and conversion optimization
