We are looking for a Python developer to create a script that interacts with our help desk system's API to download all tickets year-to-date and convert them into a CSV file. The CSV should match the format we typically export from the system’s web UI and will be used in Power BI, though we do not need assistance with that integration. The script should pull all tickets from the start of the year up to the present. Ideally, it should also support retrieving only tickets that have been updated since the last run. A bonus will be awarded if this delta sync functionality is implemented efficiently. The CSV file must match the structure of our manual exports and be saved to a specific folder controlled by an environmental variable. To ensure reliability, the script must handle API timeouts with proper retry logic and error handling. Since this script will run weekly, it should be robust enough to execute consistently without manual intervention. We will provide API keys, a sample CSV export for reference, and details on any previous attempts we've made. Experience in Python API integrations, error handling, and CSV data processing is essential. If you can efficiently implement delta updates, that would be a strong plus. Please include relevant experience and a rough estimate of the time required for completion.
