We want to give a little bit of additional information to help set both of us up for success because ideally we'll align regarding this opportunity and the why. We are ideally seeking someone who cares about the City they live in (and it doesn't have to be Renton) and who wants to help create a better city (state and nation). We are a diverse group of Renton residents actively committed to changing how our local representatives engage with and advocate on behalf of our community. We are multi generational and are Democrats, Independents and Replicans all working together to create a Better Renton. We need a website. We are starting from scratch and open on the best tools and techniques. Timing is of the essence. (And what we mean by that - is we need to quickly do the following: 1) identify a platform (wix, squarespace, ..), 2) post our logo and an 'under construction' notification, 3) add our already completed Vision, Mission, Values and Code of Ethics documents, 4) create a QR code... THEN, we need to create a longer term strategy on layout, pages, visuals.... We are hoping to upload information regularly on interviews we want to conduct with members running for City Council (3 seats are up...) and long term, to impact the way this City is managed. We want (and deserve) efficiency, humanity, fiscally responsible, and City Council members who are willing to listen to the Residents, and take action. Skills: The Web Developer will be responsible for back-end and front-end web development, programming, web design, and overall web development. Qualifications Back-End Web Development and Programming skills Front-End Development and Web Design skills Experience in Web Development Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently A great communicator; both written and verbal And ideally someone who cares about our mission. When responding; please include a link to your portfolio and when you would be able to commence this project. **And also, full transparency regarding our 1 star - we terminated a relationship with someone on upwork, who after getting terminated tried to withhold our logo and work we paid for - so upwork is now involved in getting this resolved. We have since hired someone new and our relationship is great! We're getting the work we asked for and the communication cadence is fluid and transparent. Thank you.
