Revit + AI-Enabled Conversion: Floor Plan to 2D/3D MEP Models for Cinema 4D Integration

We are seeking experienced architectural and MEP professionals with or without AI tool expertise to support a modular project pipeline. The final goal is to create high-fidelity, Cinema 4D–ready 3D scenes and animations for a residential home. This project is structured into clear phases, and you are encouraged to apply for one, multiple, or all phases depending on your skills. If you already work with AI-powered tools that can enhance speed and precision, we consider this a significant advantage and have highlighted the relevant tools under each phase. ⸻ Project Breakdown & Deliverables Phase 1 — Convert Floor Plan (Image) to Architectural Background in Revit • Start from an unscaled 2D floor plan image (.PNG). • Deduce accurate dimensions based on architectural conventions (door/window sizing, room proportions). • Reconstruct the floor plan in Revit (.RVT), creating a clean architectural base model. • Output: Revit model with rooms, walls, windows, and doors properly layered and structured. AI Tool Advantage (Optional but Preferred): • Observance (Mesh Segmentation AI) • Canvas “Scan to CAD” • ClearEdge3D EdgeWise If you have experience using any AI tools for as-built model creation, image-to-CAD automation, or mesh classification, please mention this in your application. ⸻ Phase 2 — Architectural Model to Layered 2D MEP Schematics (Revit) • Build separate Revit 2D schematics for: • HVAC system (ducts, appliances) • Electrical system (panels, outlets, lighting) • Plumbing system (supply lines, waste lines, fixtures) • Ensure clean layering and trade separation. AI Tool Advantage (Optional but Preferred): • Pelles.ai for preconstruction layout automation • Drawer.ai for electrical routing • Hypar for generative MEP system design Familiarity with AI tools that automate schematic layouts or route optimization will accelerate delivery and improve clarity. ⸻ Phase 3 — Convert 2D MEP Schematics into 3D MEP Models (Revit to Cinema 4D-ready) • Build full, clean 3D MEP models from the Phase 2 schematics. • Maintain layer separation for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing. • Prepare export-ready files for Cinema 4D (.FBX preferred). • Focus on clean geometry, proper normals, efficient file size, and logical grouping for animation workflows. Testing & Verification: • After export, files will undergo a 3-day testing period by our motion designer for: • Broken geometry • Flipped normals • Layer structure • Import efficiency • Bonus: If you have Cinema 4D access and can self-test before submission, this is a strong advantage. AI Tool Advantage (Optional but Preferred): • Schnackel AI for MEP generation • Pelles.ai export to BIM workflows • Dynamo Scripts for automation inside Revit Experience with AI-assisted MEP generation or Dynamo automation to streamline modeling and exports is highly desirable. ⸻ Qualifications • Proficiency in Revit (essential for all phases). • Ability to deduce and apply accurate measurements in Phase 1. • For Phase 2 & 3: MEP design experience in Revit, and clean layer/export practices. • Familiarity with Cinema 4D export optimization is a plus. • AI experience: If you use relevant tools, please highlight in your application. • Experience with residential buildings is preferred.
