In this engagement, the Lifecycle Strategist will play a critical role in designing and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey for Hyundai owners transitioning to the Root Insurance platform. They will focus on identifying key touchpoints across the lifecycle—from initial awareness and onboarding to retention and advocacy—and develop targeted strategies to engage users at each stage. By leveraging data, behavioral insights, and channel performance, the Lifecycle Strategist will craft personalized communication flows, trigger-based messaging, and nurture campaigns that drive conversion and build long-term customer relationships. Collaborating closely with multiple teams, they will ensure a cohesive, cross-functional approach that aligns with both Root’s growth objectives and Hyundai’s customer experience standards. Workstream Audience Segmentation Strategy Audit, analyze, and validate existing Hyundai customer and prospect data to assess quality, completeness, and readiness for CRM activation Identify key behavioral, location-based, and transactional signals to inform smarter, more streamlined audience segmentation Develop a new audience segmentation framework based on customer interactions — including actions taken (e.g., requested a quote), funnel stage, and engagement history Define segment personas with tailored messaging strategies, communication triggers, and recommended content approaches to drive conversion and retention Email & Direct Mail Campaign Strategy Identify key lifecycle stages across customer segments and pinpoint strategic opportunities for engagement at each stage Provide recommendations on cadence and flow of emails for entire journey per segment Propose always-on email flows targeting key actions, such as new customer onboarding, quote requests, and other high-value moments Identify campaign themes and content strategy aligned to segment needs. Implement an effective suppression strategy to ensure messaging is reaching the right people while avoiding redundancy or over-saturation Suggest creative testing ideas to continuously refine email content and improve engagement rates, conversion, and overall campaign performance Development & implementation of a direct mail strategy to support acquisition or re-engagement efforts across key segments and markets Ongoing Implementation, Reporting & Optimizations Based on performance insights, Vokal will lead the ongoing optimization of audience segments, email strategy, and creative execution. This may include: Adding, refining, or removing audience segments Adjusting email flows, timing, and cadence Refreshing creative assets and messaging to improve engagement and conversion
